Safety
Looking out for each other.
Meeting new people is wonderful — and it asks a little caution. Here's what we do to keep Realove safe, and what we ask of you.
We watch over the community
We monitor for fake profiles, harassment, scams, and anything that shouldn't be on Realove. Reports go to a human, not just an algorithm. When we find someone breaking the rules, we close their account — usually fast.
Your data stays yours
We never sell your information. Your Venus chats, screenshots, and growth notes are private — other users only see what you publish. Read our Privacy Policy for the details.
Verification is coming
We're building photo verification so you know who you're talking to is real. While we test, please be a little extra careful — and report anyone who feels off.
Reporting actually works
See the report button in chat. Use it. We read every report and act on real violations. You can also block anyone instantly — they won't know, they just won't be able to reach you anymore.
Look after yourself
A few things we ask of you.
Talk before you meet
Have a real conversation first. Voice or video call before meeting in person — it tells you a lot. If someone refuses to do either, that's a signal.
First meetings — public places
Coffee shops, busy restaurants, walks in parks during the day. Tell a friend where you're going and when you'll be back. Drive yourself or use your own ride — don't accept a pickup the first time.
Watch for scam patterns
Anyone who asks for money — for any reason, no matter how good the story — is scamming you. Same goes for crypto, gift cards, or "investment opportunities." Same for anyone who wants to move the conversation off Realove fast (to WhatsApp, Telegram) before they've really gotten to know you.
Be cautious with anyone who:
- Falls in love with you in three days.
- Has a tragic story that requires your financial help.
- Always has an excuse not to video call.
- Lives "overseas" but is "coming to visit soon."
- Pushes you to make decisions quickly.
Don't share what you can't unshare
Your home address, your workplace, your daily routine, your kids' school, your financial details — keep these private until you genuinely know someone. Photos that could be used against you (intimate, embarrassing, identifying) — don't send them, even when asked.
Once it's out there, you can't take it back.
Trust your gut
If something feels off, it probably is. You don't need a reason to stop talking to someone. You don't owe anyone a response, an explanation, or a second chance. Block, report, move on. We've got your back.
If something happens
We're here.
In immediate danger?
Call your local emergency services first. In the EU, dial 112. In the US, 911. In Ukraine, 102. We can help after you're safe.
Something happened on Realove?
Write us at [email protected] with details. We treat these messages as priority and will respond within 24 hours.
Someone scammed you?
Report it to us, and also to your local police. For financial scams, contact your bank immediately — they may be able to stop the transaction. The earlier, the better.
Image of you posted somewhere it shouldn't be?
For non-consensual intimate imagery, organizations like StopNCII.org can help get it removed from major platforms. Write us too — if it involves a Realove user, we'll take action.
Needing to talk to someone?
If you're struggling — after a bad date, a hard conversation, or just life — reaching out to a friend or a crisis line can help. International directory at findahelpline.com.
From Venus
“The people you're looking for don't rush you, don't ask you for money, and don't mind a video call. Take your time. The right ones are worth it.”
